Exhibiting at a trade show in Mexico for the first time can feel overwhelming. There are stands to design, venues to coordinate with, logistics to manage, and a brand to represent — all at the same time. This guide breaks the process down into manageable steps.
Your space assignment from the event organizer defines what you can build. Key details include square meters, number of open sides (inline, corner, or island), maximum height, and whether electricity is included or must be ordered separately.
For a first-time exhibitor, a modular system like Octanorm or Maxima is usually the best starting point. These systems are cost-effective, quick to install, and professionally finished. Custom builds make more sense once you have a few shows under your belt and know exactly what you need.
Your stand builder needs high-resolution logos (vector format preferred), brand color codes (Pantone or CMYK), any product images you want to display, and your key message or tagline. The earlier you provide these, the better the result.
Think about what you want visitors to do when they enter your stand. Is there a product to touch? A demo to watch? A conversation to have? Design your space to facilitate that specific action — not just to look impressive from the aisle.
The stand itself is only part of the cost. Budget also for venue electricity, internet, parking, staff travel and accommodation, printed materials, branded giveaways, and post-show follow-up. First-time exhibitors often underestimate these ancillary costs by 30–40%.
